We offer complete mechanical design of the pressure envelope for any heat exchanger, in a range of materials from non-ferrous to carbon steel and stainless steel (including duplex). The designs meet all code requirements to ensure safety in service along with a longevity of the product throughout its design life. We can design heat exchangers with various geometries including cylindrical, ‘D’-bonnet, and plugged-box type headers. Third Party approvals of designs are provided where required.
Designs are in accordance with international standards and codes such as ASME Section VIII Division 1 (including Appendix 13 for vessels of non-circular cross section), API 660 & API 661. These standards and codes are used to generate designs for natural convection, air-blast, and shell & tube type heat exchangers.
Calculations are performed using in-house developed software, as well as proprietary products such as PV Elite. We hold the ASME ‘U’-Stamp and can design to ensure compliance with various directives (such as the UKCA & PED) where necessary.
